In 2002 Alio became a ‘Chef Hatted’ restaurant. The SMH has said of us: “There’s nothing old-fashioned about Alio, but the spirit of Italy sings loudly in every dish….Ashley Hughes is a name to watch.”
Set menus start from $48 for two courses or $58 for three courses and include our freshly baked bread and grissini, Alio signature pre-starter soup, side dishes with your mains, & tea or coffee to follow your meal. Canapes start from $7-10 per person.
Our wine list features boutique local and European wines, with function wines available upon request. Why not indulge yourself with a degustation menu? Have our Sommelier and Head Chef design a menu, selecting wines to complement each dish – a match made in heaven!
Having spent a large amount of time abroad, living in larger cities where you are spoiled for choice, we gained invaluable insight and were inspired to fuse our passions of great coffee, breathtaking art, and unique design and bring a distinctive space to the Sunshine Coast.
We roast our own green beans on site. Our signature blend is ‘Sunny Boy Original’, 100% Papua New Guinean Arabica consisting of Aroosha, Bourbon, and Mundo Novo varieties. We also offer unique blends and single origins for the connoisseur interested in delving further into the world of great coffee.
We have partnered with Australian fine art company Stupid Krap, so expect to find unique, limited edition and original art pieces from the world’s best street, graffiti and contemporary artists adorning the espresso bar walls.
